HUMAN MOVEMENT SPECIALIST
David Lim
DC - San Gabriel Valley Clinic
David Lim is a Doctor of Chiropractic whose introduction to the profession came early — he was treated as a teenager and felt the benefit firsthand. As an adult chasing his own physical goals, injuries and nagging pain sent him looking for answers again, and rehabbing with structured exercise made the lesson click. His approach today follows that same sequence: restore the motion, then build the capacity to keep it.
That path wasn’t obvious at first. David earned his bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from UC Berkeley, and went into tech after graduating. But being in a position to help people directly had always mattered to him, and he wasn’t finding it there. Between his own history with rehab and a curiosity about the human body, the direction became clear. He completed his Doctor of Chiropractic with honors at Southern California University of Health Sciences.
Engineering left David with a lasting appreciation for how systems work — how the parts depend on one another, and where things break down. He brings that same lens to the human body, looking at how everything connects rather than treating any one piece in isolation. But he’s careful not to stop at biomechanics. Stress, sleep, and everything a person is managing outside the clinic are part of the system too, and he listens for it, because the plan only works if it fits the life it’s built for.
Outside the clinic, David stays active however he can, whether that’s a pickup basketball game or the occasional round of golf. He’s also drawn to food and cooking, and treats a good meal as its own kind of project.
